You're probably wondering where we got the idea, right? We visited the workshop of a respected knife maker in Kainuu in 2022. There, we had the opportunity to observe the high-quality process of making a knife handle using stabilized wood. The stunning, unique color palette and properties of stabilized wood piqued our interest in the material.

As always, designing and testing a new watch is a long but fascinating process. It all starts with sketching out the structure, color scheme, and details on paper. We began designing Loimu and testing wood species in 2022 when we realized that using stabilized wood in watches was entirely new. Now, in 2024, you too can enjoy this innovation.
